Hi emirust
I tried to find if there is a way, and there really does not appear to be one apart from calling refineMesh every time. |

Ok! It serves my purpose, so why not!
Do anyone have an idea on how to automate this? I use topoSet to select a box of cells where I want the refinement, but then I would like to select a smaller box for another refinement, and then another box in this one etc... This has to be repetated maybe 8 times. I guess the solution is not to use a topoSetDict, but call the utility directly in the command prompt. I was expecting something like this to work: topoSet thenameoftheset new boxToCell (xmin ymin zmin) (xmax ymax zmax) but I get an error "syntax error near unexpected token `(' " Thanks! I know this is an old post. Can you please explain where to switch on the debug switch for hexCellLooper? Is this still valid for OpenFoam v2.3.0? Another thing is if I want to refine cells alligned with a cylindricalWall in three directions (i.e. normal and vertical directions), how do I define the patchLocal coordinate system in the refineMeshDict? I've been trying hard to understand the description in the OpenFoam wiki but I still don't get it. Best Ebb |
