Hello everyone,
I don't have much experience with OpenFOAM. I am working on a circuit board thermal analysis. I designed a geometry for it. I tried to model it using multiple tutorial cases, but the most suitable one was snappyMultiRegionHeater. I shared my case adapted from this, including the output of the scripts as well as an image of the problem geometry. To explain, the component and LED regions are the heat sources. The fluid inside the geometry is fluid2, and the fluid outside is fluid1. The commands used are: blockMesh surfaceFeatures snappyHexMesh -overwrite splitMeshRegions -cellZones -defaultRegionName fluid -overwrite foamMultiRun Since my knowledge of mesh is not very good, there might be some mistakes. There are some errors if you look .log files. However, the main problem is the lack of heat transfer between solid-solid interfaces. Heat transfer occurs between the fluid and solid interfaces, but not between the solid-solid interfaces. For example, heat transfer should happen from the component region to the pcb region, but the analysis does not give such results. Only the component region heats up and transfers heat to the fluid. Please help me! |
