Hi fellow OpenFOAM users, has anyone had experience implementing gaplevel and gapmode in SHM successfully? It doesn’t seem to get me the numebr of cells in gap that I have input. For example if I input (15 0 10) for gaplevel it’d still give me maybe 2 cells in the gap (gapmode mixed). SHM seems to be responding to my inputs to an extent becuase if i input a smaller number for the cells in gap e.g. (2 0 10) the small gaps would be closed. So, I am thinking it's being restricted by some other paramteres? Thanks!!

Hey,
I found it easier to do with BaramMesh which is an interface for snappyHexMesh. They have a nice tutorial for gap refinement and how to manipulate the features. Here is the link: https://baramcfd.org/mesh/2024/05/22/gapRefine-post/ (click right on a blank space to see an option for translating to english) |

Hey @rocketLauncher thanks for responding and letting me know there is a GUI for SHM, it could prove useful. The way the BARAM website describes how gap refinement works is exactly what I understood it to be, somehow it doesn't work for in the raw openfoam.
