Hello,

I am trying to import .cgns mesh file of a cylinder into DUST, an open-source aerodynamic solver developed by Polytechnic of Milan in FORTRAN. I know that this solver is not widely used, but any experience of using other open-source solvers, such as SU2, could help!

I created my cylinder in many different mesher, such as Fluent Meshing/Pointwise/ICEM/GMSH. Each time after finishing meshing the cylinder, I saved it as .cgns file. Above is the way I get my .cgns file. But when I imported the file into DUST, the error happened. When I imported the mesh created by ICEM, the error was unsupported CGNS element type: 17 NONE; in the case of GMSH, the error was neighbouring elements with opposed normal orientation, this is not allowed; in the case of Pointwise, the error was again unsupported CGNS element type: 10 NONE, the same error as in the case of Fluent Meshing.

Do you know how to identify where the problem is and how to correct it? Thanks a lot.

I think I wrongly created the cgns files because when I opened them in Paraview, there are no cell or point arrays. Is it normal?
