Hi everybody


I have already used snappyHexMesh successfully but now I am facing a problem. It is running but the result is the same as the previous blockMesh, sHM is not snapping around my stl file at all. I tried my sHM with another a bit smaller stl geometry and there it is working properly. Does somebody have an idea why it is not working?
I also already created a new stl of my geometry but still no change.
I attached my stl, blockMeshDict and snappyHexMeshDict.

I did not see a problem generating the mesh with your input Dicts. However, you provided stl file ImportOFkl_3Dchannel_Ein.stl while the snappyHexMeshDict called for ImportOFkl_3Dchannel_Ein_neu.stl.



My version of OF is 2312.


The generated shape is shown in the attachment.


For future reference:
1. Reduce number of cells in the blockmesh to get it to run quicker.
2. Provide your system and constant directories as well as your "run" or "Allrun" file to save me effort setting that up.

I still don't know where my error was but I managed to mesh my case by setting up everything from start in a new run folder.
And thank you for your tips, I will keep that in mind for my next post
