Hey,

i am fairly new to OF (working on it as part of my internship). We are using OpenFoam Version 11. I want to setup a CHT case and for practice i looked at the tutorialcase CHT/heatedDuct. Now i have some questions:

- I think i have understood the principle of how cells are assigned to zones with help of the refinementSurfaces sub-dictionary and why the geometry is setup, so that all outer faces are in one stl-file and the inner faces are in seperate stl-files. Is this the preferred way? (i stumbled about other options e.g. with topoSet)

- Is there a way to refine the inner-surfaces just in one direction? especially with a higher number of nCellsBetweenLayers

- Is there a way to refine a cellZone (region) directly or with the refineRegions sub-dict with this geometry sub-dict.

- Maybe a general question to the snap feature. Does it snap to all geometries defined in the sub-dict (with explicitFeatureSnap)?

- Or would it be better to go with implicitFeatureSnap and define the wanted features?

- what does multiRegionFeatureSnap do?

- how can I add layers on the inner-surfaces (preferably just on one side)

I have worked with the UserGuide on cfd.direct, the annotated dicts with foamGet and several other ressources on the web but i find it quite hard to get forward. Some answers would be much appreciated.
