Dear all,

I am trying to understand the information, which snappyHexMesh provides about its execution time.

SHM log provides the following lines:
Code:
Wrote mesh in = 5.41 s.
Mesh refined in = 63.95 s.
...
Wrote mesh in = 1.87 s.
Mesh snapped in = 21.22 s.
...
Finished meshing in = 115.75 s.
summing up to 209.2 s.

I compared this number with the numbers given by a Python script provided here at the forums Python script.

The script gives 162.54 s and it takes into account blockMesh, surfaceFeatureExtract etc., i.e. every part of the SHM workflow.

How do these numbers correlate (if they correlate at all)? I would very appreciate a clarification here. Thanks!
