Hi,
How can I align a mesh over a plane? For example, in this attached image, I used snappyHexMesh, but I would like the cell faces to align with the red line. Some of them are not aligned, for example, in the yellow circle. Thanks |

Untested: It should be possible to add a searchablePlane (https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...ableplane.html) in the geometry section. Then also make an entry for this region in the refinementSurfaces section of snappyHexMeshDict. This should cause snappy to snap nearby cells to the plane and keep them in place.
But keep in mind, the shifting you see there is caused by the layer introduction step. Keeping the cells at the plane frozen, may lead to worse quality or fewer layers being generated because the required quality can not be maintained. |
