Hi,
i am wondering wether the splitmeshregions command is sensitive to the stl used to create the mesh in snappyhexmesh being closed or not. I have a case that is basically the shell and tube heat exchanger tutorial with different geometry files. I have checked both the stls from the tutorial with surfaceCheck and the only difference in the entire case is that my code generated stls are not closed. Additional info: the stls used for the check are the acutal zones say "tube.stl" as well as the single surface "tube_to_solid" merged into one file. If so that would solve a problem, however i would love to hear some experiences from you guys, maybe someone had a similar problem in the past? |
