[snappyHexMesh] Sphere tutorial - refined mesh fails

Hi,

I am following this sphere tutorial for OpenFoam

https://mycourses.aalto.fi/pluginfil...e_openfoam.pdf

to perform a DNS of the flow around a sphere at Re=3700.

I was able to make a first grid using this blockmeshDict file:

I am trying to create a grid with double the resolution. I doubled the number of points in the blockMeshDict

I ran snappyHexMesh in parallel with the following commands:

It runs for some time but it stops without creating any polyMesh folder and files. The last lines in the snappyHexMesh.log file look like:

I tried playing around with maxGlobalCells and maxLocalCells but not luck. I also tried keeping the number of points the same in the blockMeshDict and doubling the resolution only in the refinementregion from 6 to 7
