Hi Folks,
I am using snappyHexMesh for generating a grid for simulating the laminar flow between microfractures. I have the whole computational domain as a STL file (attached) and a background mesh created by blockMesh, which has a bounding box bigger than the STL file. I have the two following questions: 1. For the locationInMesh, I give a point inside the computational domain. However, the result is a grid with just one cell, with a bounding box much larger that the STL's bounding box. It might be due to the small height between top and bottom surfaces (2.5E-05 m). How can I fix this? The snappyHexMeshDict is also attached. 2. The top and bottom surfaces are rough, with certain Hurst exponent and RMS. Do you think that SHM is capable of generating a grid with an acceptable quality for this? Thank you. |
