Hello,
I was trying to find a way to refine the patches using snappyHexMesh I had created using blockMesh? I can do it for an external stl file but have been struggling with this. Can you please help me? Thank you in advance. Regards, Saugat |

I have not done it, but I have two ideas:
1- Make a .stl with named faces. Define their region names in geometry, and use surface refinement on them. The faces are surfaces, and you can make them coincide with your blockMesh patches 2- use a searchablebox geometry, overlap it over your whole patch, and use refinementregion there. |

Thank You ghastbug!
I see that I can make it work from the second suggestion. However, it is only a workaround. I still am trying to figure out how to select the patches for it to meshed around from refinement surfaces. Thank You. |
