Hello to all,
For a long time I thought about telling my problem here, but I've been stuck for a long time. Unfortunately, I don't have much OPENFOAM experience. I have to mesh and calculate a kind of piece of cake with periodic boundary conditions at the "cutting surfaces".It's not because of the surfaces, I can provide them very well in StarCCM+, e.g. with interfaces and calculate them accordingly. Unfortunately, we only have an STL file available with a CCM surface mesh, which already places a suitable surface mesh on the surfaces. As I understand it, the function of converting the CCM volume mesh has been discontinued by Siemens? Now I convert my unv-file (volume)meshed in Salome into a polymesh (ideasUnvToFaom) and change the "patches" under Boundary accordingly. But I get the error message: Distance between the centre of patch Side_left and the transformed centre of patch Side_right is 0.099366. This is greater than the match tolerance etc.. Increasing the tolarance did not improve the situation either. Alternatively, I found out that when converting from unv to polymesh, the faces get mixed up and it seems to be fixed with createPatch -overwrite... But I get the same error message and I really don't know what to do. Oh by the way: cyclicAMI doesn't make it better Am grateful for any ideas. Kind regards |
