Dear Community,
in the last weeks I was looking for a solution to create a moving cylinder in a refined mesh through a bigger mesh. While setting up the case especially the mesh Iīm having quiet some difficulites. At first blockmeshDict ist used to create the basic, bigger mesh (A). After that I use TopoSetDict to create a region inside A. Then I set up my cylinder in a subsetMesh with "subsetMesh cylinder -patch hole -overwrite". Basically a cylindershaped form is being cut out. Afterthat i run topoSet again and finally I create different cellIDs with setFields. My Problems are: a) The cylinder itself has cells from the bigger overall mesh, see Image 1, what is not wanted. b) The contour of the clinder is in steps, not like a nice arch like in blockMesh. It canīt be that complicated, but I just canīt figure it out myself. Maybe some of you knows how to solve this. Thanks, Felix |
