Hi all,
I am currently in the process of learning OpenFOAM (also using the HELYX-OS GUI), and doing a simple internal pipe flow problem to familiarize myself with the code. Upon trying to generate the mesh using the simple blockMesh command, I get the following error:


--> FOAM FATAL ERROR:
unknown file extension STL. Supported extensions are '.ftr', '.stl', '.stlb', '.gts', '.obj', '.ac', '.off', '.nas', '.tri' and '.vtk'

The pipe which I generated in SolidWorks has been exported as a STL file, and therefore I am unsure why this error is occurring.


Any help would be greatly appreciated!

try renaming it with lower-case "stl" - should work
