Hi everyone,
My question is related to how can we create a mesh file for the existing .stl file. Basically, I downloaded stl file from the internet and I want to have a mesh file for it on openFOAM. Is it even possible to do that? I'm totally new on openFOAM. Please accept my apologies if my question is so stupid Thanks, askarli. |

Hi Askarli,
Yes this is possible, using the snappyHexMesh utility. Have a look at the user guide here : https://cfd.direct/openfoam/user-gui...h/#x23-1670005 I suggest you to do some tutorials using snappyHexMesh in order to understand how it works before moving on meshing your own geometry. Have fun! Yann |

Thank you very much for your reply, Yan!
Reading the user guide one more time helped me a lot. Cheers, askarli. |
