Hello;
After a long break I am currently trying to return OpenFOAM with the goal of simulating the flow around DARPA Suboff configurations for maneuvering analysis. In my current case I want to do a drag calculation of AFF-1 (only barehull) configuration. I made a background mesh with blockMesh which uses a multi region grading in order to get a relatively fine mesh around the geometry. Then I only use the "castellatedMesh" part of the snappyHexMesh. This refined the mesh in the vicinity of the object but also tried to refine far field mesh arbitrarily as you may see in the ss (2D slice) attached. Can you give me an advice for this problem and also improving the quality of my mesh. Attachment 82203 Attachment 82204 Attachment 82205 |
