Hi,
I am a complete beginner. I followed a few tutorials on snappyHexMesh and was able to utilize it for a couple of models. However I am having issues snapping a specific .obj file to my blockMesh. >>ATTACHED is picture1 of the geometry This .obj file has "branches" coming out of the central piece and for some reason snappyHexMesh is not catching these. It just snaps the central piece of the geometry with "holes" where the branches would go. >>ATTACHED is picture2 of the unsuccessful snap Also it does not show the blockMesh I am snapping it to... I will show a picture of another geometry that DID snap succesfully to the blockMesh for comparison. >>ATTACHED picture 3 example of successful snap At first I thought it might be to sharp of edges, but the surfaceFeatureExtract seems to be extracting the central piece with the branches successfully (I converted the eMesh into .obj and checked in paraView). However its when I run the snappyHexMesh that it does not pick the "branches" up. I have tried changing the resolveFeatureAngle to smaller values and increased the refinement level... I will share my snappyHexMeshDict as well... Any help is very appreciated! |
