Dear Foamers,

I am trying to mesh a pretty complicated geometry using Salome but it returns the following error:

Code:
OCC exception. Standard_ConstructionError: gp_XYZ::Normalize() - vector has zero norm
I tried to check the geometry but had no idea where to look at. Any comments would be very appreciated.

PS1: Tried to Google for this error and it returned nothing related to Salome...
PS2: Unfortunately, I cannot share the geometry/mesh...

Did you ever find a solution? I am facing the same issue.

Hi there,

Unfortunately no... Then I tried to take advantage of two things:
1. A symmetry plane which halved the geometry
2. The fully developed region which made the geometry even smaller

And then Salome meshed the new geometry just fine...

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
MJ
