Deleting stl solids

After running <cat *.stl new.stl> and <surfaceAutoPatch geometry.stl output.stl Angle> on my stl geometry, I have 600 solids. Some of the solids are faces in areas that I don't need.
As an example, I have asymmetric diffuser that has a face at it's exit point before going into nozzle geometry. Can I edit the stl file to delete the "face"(solid)? I am thinking of deleting because I don't know how snappyHexMesh will handle the solid, and I think it would be wrong to try and name the patch in snappyHexMesh. |
