Problems in meshing 2D axisymmetric nozzle wedge with Salome

Hello Foamers!
I'm trying to simulate supersonic nozzle which is designed for M = 3, 4.5, 6 For 2D simulation of axisymmetric case, i made a mesh of wedge of nozzle with one cell thick, angle of 5 degree. then, i used ideasUnvToFoam command, and edited the boundary condition for the wedge face to 'wedge' and checkMesh makes the error below Checking geometry... Overall domain bounding box (-0.001 0 -0.185457) (0.001 0.035 0.04827) Mesh has 2 geometric (non-empty/wedge) directions (0 1 1) Mesh has 3 solution (non-empty) directions (1 1 1) Wedge wedge_1 with angle 7.67288 degrees ***Wedge patch wedge_1 not planar. Point (8.93043e-06 0.000312565 0.0478025) is not in patch plane by 0.000987388 metre. Boundary openness (4.68722e-15 1.4474e-17 5.37424e-19) OK. Max cell openness = 7.37468e-15 OK. Max aspect ratio = 354.407 OK. Minimum face area = 1.29182e-09. Maximum face area = 9.43471e-07. Face area magnitudes OK. Min volume = 6.03976e-13. Max volume = 4.0937e-10. Total volume = 5.24674e-06. Cell volumes OK. Mesh non-orthogonality Max: 60.4454 average: 5.33102 Non-orthogonality check OK. Face pyramids OK. Max skewness = 2.71824 OK. Coupled point location match (average 0) OK. Failed 1 mesh checks. End How can i fix this problem? I thought my mesh is good and fine enough. :< i tried to attach my UNV file but 4.22mb is over the site's limit, so if you want to check my UNV file tell me your email. i'll send you it right away THANKS <3 |

Hi.
Could you please explain how you got this mesh ? I am trying to simulate the flow in a supersonic nozzle as well. Unfortunately, I can't find how to do it with SALOME. |
