How to create inclined mesh in OpenFOAM?

Hello! I want to create a Mesh around a cylinder using blockMesh dictionary. The mesh should be as shown in the attached image.I tried to figure out using several tutorials in youtube and online but failed miserably. The grid lines should be normal to the cylinder and not parallel to each other. Please help me in order to solve the problem.

Hi. Your comment regarding grid lines being normal to the discretized circle while having two distinct mesh zones, seems a bit counter-intuitive.
Your specified separation profile is a horizontal line (representative of ground/ soil plane), hence to avoid violating grid quality parameters, it would conform optimally to the provided boundaries while maintaining the compatible/ matching interface boundary. If you're not simulating mesh deformation (which most likely you are), then methods such as setFields would allow you to have your desired single region mesh (flow around a cylinder) as well as multiphase and/ or multicomponent domain. |
