Hallo,
I'm searching an workaround to get the edge geometrie of my STL-Mesh from Salome into an .eMesh file. Edit: The script "surfaceExtr..." do not work good enough. Any ideas? Thanks. |

You can create, in Salome's GEOM module, a group of edges (i.e. your intended feature edges), and then export these edges using a very handy Python script, which was posted in the Salome forum.
The workflow: * Create geometry in Salome's GEOM geometry module * Create a group of edges in the GEOM module * Create a surface mesh in Salome's MESH module * Create a group of edges in the MESH module with Group from geometry * Select this group in the Object Browser and run this script with File -> Load Script * Export the surface mesh as an STL file This will give you your STL surface mesh, with the proper feature edges in an *.eMesh file. The thread in the Salome forum, discussing this very question |
