Dear reader,
I'm making a sHM. After all the necessary commands my mesh is made. It is functional, but is says: "Finished meshing with 43107 illegal faces (concave, zero area or negative cell pyramid volume)" This doesn't seem good to me. Is this something that needs to be resolved? If yes, what can I do? Also after creating the sHM I have my standard 0 directory, but also three timesteps, filled with: cellLevel pointLevel polyMesh However, the boundary conditions are not inside those three. So now If I want to run a simulation I need to copy the U, Ux, p, etc to the latest time directory and put in controlDict that it starts at latestTime. Is this normal? If no, what can I do against it? Sincerely, Loek Last edited by Loekatoni; November 23, 2018 at 07:47. Reason: Original post was to long and too much questions and information. |

Dear me,
I got answeres to some of my questions. So I checked out the timesteps that were made during the sHM operation. The first timestep is rough and made out of cubes. Then the second timestep is smoothed out, and I suppose the third one is finalising the snapped mesh. Anyway, I just put an extra command in my ./Allrun folder which copies the BC's from the 0 directory to the third timestep and from there on I can run my simulation. Maybe a bit trivial information, but mentioning here anyway in case someone runs into the same problem as me. Sincerely, Myself |
