Hi all,
I've been beating my head on this for a while, and I'm finally going to ask for help. I've attached two images of the problem spots. In both of these spots, snappyHexMesh doesn't seem to want to snap properly to the surface. I've linked the full case (you should be able to run using Allrun.pre). In addition, I've attached the snappyHexMeshDict as a separate file. What I've tried: 1. What feels like every reasonable combination of the snapControls. The implicitFeatureSnap has performed much better than explicit for whatever reason (despite what's suggested elsewhere on the site). 2. Changing the resolution of the STL export. I'm using Autodesk Inventor to make the STL files, and based on the checks, everything seems watertight, with reasonable triangle quality. My key question: Is this as good as it gets? Can I get these points to lie on the surface properly? Thank you all in advance, Robert |
