H3PO is on a distinguished road
Hello, I'm new with OpenFoam, and I need to simulate a Air Flow inside of tubular cavity to check how it behaves. So, I started with this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObsFQUiVi1U and later I tried to do the same with a solid cilinder. I have created the mesh, but when i vusualize this with paraView, it observe that the internal Mesh is a cube (and the cilinder is inside), whears in the tutorial has the shape of the objet. I attach you some images about it.

If someone could help me with this or indicate a better guide i will than her.

It is usually helpful to also post the necessary files. Is it possible that you set "locationInMesh" outside of your geometry?

I think that is it. I have tried to solve but I didn't get it. Can you give me some advice on how to get the center of my object?

Thanks for your help!

In this link are all the files. https://mega.nz/#!KRJlBbyZ!ko1wm2vAR...cWb_VN_HlVfKGg

IIRC the location should be somewhere inside. It does not need to be in the center.

Thanks guys, I have managed to create the internalMesh successfully.

Now I want to simulate my final object. It is a bit more complex. So, I don't know how to obtain a surface from the solid, Is there any software to obtain this?

There is a lot of information regarding preparing stl files for SHM in this forum and a video series at https://holzmann-cfd.com using Salome and blender.
