Hello everyone,


I am using SHM to mesh a complex geometry. My geometry is having currently 7 Mi cells. I am required to do some further refinement. When I increased surface refinement level (3 to 4) for one particular patch, my case has crashed.


I am running with 8 cores. I have also tried with 6 cores (but of no use). My RAM is 32 GB and I am also using 32 GB swap memory. Memory status just before the crash could be seen in attachment.


Could anyone please tell me, what could be the issue. Why my machine is consuming so much memory. What could be the solution for this. Thank you

I am also having this issue.

From all of my research, I understand this to be due to OF running out of memory. On all reports, increasing available memory should work. I am also having this issue; but, from what I can see from my system monitor OF isn't using more than 4% of available memory.

Is there something I am overlooking here?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
