Snap to the surface without surface refinement?

Hey All,
I have a problem meshing a simple truncated cone surface. I want to introduce a pressure drop using the porousBafflePressure on this surface by creating Baffles using createBafflesDict. Since this BC works with cyclic patch, I think it is not possible to mesh using refinementSurface. Because it will create a patch of type wall. So I used only refinementRegions near the geometry. Will it be possible to snap the meshes to the surface, if I use only refinementRegions? Or is there any ways to mesh to the surface and change the patch type to work with porousBafflePressure? I could refine to the surface and snap to surface by adding faceType internal; option under the patchinfo. This option considers the surface as an internal face and makes only null patches which will be deleted by snappyHexMesh by default.
