Dear all,

I was trying to refine my mesh with snappyHexMesh because I couldn't get the mesh right at a round edge in my geometry.

I read a whole lot tutorials and presentations on this subject and I get the snappyHexMesh algorithm working but the mesh won't refine, in fact it doesn't really change at all. I suppose the reason is, that the algorithm doesn't find any intersected edges. But I can't really figure out why.

My geomtrie is in a .stl file that has a quite high resolution, so in my opinion this should be alright. My blockMesh mesh has an aspect ratio of 1 and I would say it is intersecting my geometrie.

Do you have any tips or help for me?

Thanks and best wishes!

Hello Seb,

Can you upload a copy of your snappyHexMeshDict file?

Hi dickcruz,

sorry for the late response. Meanwhile I figured out a way to refine my mesh but I forgot to close this thread.

Best wishes,
Sebastian
