Hi all,
I have three regions in my block mesh 1. Region bounded by blockmesh 2. Region named box - searchablebox 3. A ship as an stl file. When I keep the locationinmesh point in the 1.region both 2 and 3 goes off. When I keep the locationinmesh point in the 2.region both 1 and 3 goes off. When I keep the locationinmesh point in the 3.region both 1 and 2 goes off. But I want a mesh with both Region 1 and Region 2 and the ship should be removed, so that I can analyse the flow of water around the ship. And I am not able to keep two locationinmesh points. How to achieve this.? Thanks, Senthil. |

Hello senthilathiban,
- Do the both Mesh-regions you want to keep have a contact/interface with each other? If not, the walking-on-Mesh step during snappyHexMesh will not discover both! - blockMesh must include all regions! The parts outside the Mesh generated by blockMesh will not be recognized by snappyHexMesh! - Did you defined the regionProperties dictionary in constant? I belive you must! see tutorial multiRegionHeater for more informations. Regards Peter Last edited by peterhess; December 31, 2017 at 15:45. |
