Hi,
I am a BEng student and I am using OpenFoam 3.0.1 to study the movement of a floating rectangular prism that is capsizing.
I would like to study the waves produced by just the capsizing of the block.
My problem is a two dimensional case in the x-y plane.

I used blockMesh to generate a rectangular prism surrounded by a circumference.
At first the centre of the circle (Xc;Yc) coincides with the centre of gravity G(Xg; Yg) of the rectangular prism and I didn't have any problem to generate the mesh.

However, I noticed that if the level of the free surface (Ywater) didn't coincide with the Yc (that in this case was Yg) , OpenFoam couldn't generate a good free surface.

So, I'm trying to change the mesh.
The new centre of the circle should be (Xc; Ywater), but blockMesh doesn’t generate a good mesh into the circumference.
In my log.blockMesh there is this warning

--> FOAM Warning :
From function polyMesh:: polyMesh(... construct from shapes...)
in file meshes/polyMesh/polyMeshFromShapeMesh.C at line 901
Found 18 undefined faces in mesh; adding to default patch.

Is it possible that the rectangular prism must be in the centre of the circumference?

I would really appreciate some advice on this.
Thanks in advance for any help.
