SnappyHexMesh castellation stage creates hole in surface where mesh flows into domain

Hello all!
In my case when I try to mesh a geometry, the castellation stage can't find one of surface of the geometry correctly. On that surface some holes appear, and the mesh floats into the domain through the holes. However, when I check the stl file by surfaceCheck, it says it is not closed but when I open the generated .obj files the surface is closed where the problem occurs. I've attached a picture of the .stl surface and the meshed surface together. To check if those holes responsible for this problem i've tried to tighten the domain (=reducing the domain length), and-as i expected-these holes were responsible for this problem. For other similar geometries where the stl is also not closed, but during the meshing these holes don't appear, I get a decent mesh without inflows. If you could help me out with this problem i'd appreciate that! Yours sincerly, David |
