Hello guys,
I'm trying to make a structured hexahedral mesh over a sphere but I'm facing some errors (figure 3). I made my geometry and partitions (figures 1 and 2) following this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6R3e4Ac9jY ; and I used the 3D Automatic Hexahedralization, Quadrangle (Mapping), and Wire Discretisation (everything as default). I think the problem relies on the line over the surface of half of the sphere that is creating an undesirable partition (figure 4). Actually, the only face of the sphere that does not have this line didn't give an error message. Unfortunatly, I didn't succeed trying to remove that line. I also made a mesh over a 2D circle (to test it out) (figure 5) and it worked, eventough the triangles behind the circle seems strange to me. Could anybody help me? Turns out that it was that line over the line over the sphere. I just made 2 more partitions cutting the sphere and it worked fine.
