Hi ICEM CFD Team,

I am very new to ICEM Meshing Software. I tried few tutorials using ICEM for meshing. I was meshing 2D Pipe Junction using Blocks. I read that Blocking creates Structural Meshing. But when we write the output file for meshing We always convert mesh into Unstructured Mesh.

My question is Why do we convert mesh into Unstructured Mesh before using in Fluent?

Thanks

ICEM CFD can create both structured and unstructured meshes. but Fluent works only with unstructured meshes. Even if the mesh appears structured, it is always an unstructured mesh that goes into Fluent
