snappyHexMesh does not remove internal cells

Hello everyone. I would really appreciate your help.
I use snappyHexMesh to create a grid around a wing. Wing is in stl format. However, when I apply castellatedMesh, it does not remove the cells inside the wing.
What can be the reason for that? I use version 4.1
