Hello respected members,
I have a mesh created using ANSYS Turbogrid and I can save it in either .cgns or .gtm format. As I want to convert this mesh now in OpenFOAM to perform simulation in OpenFOAM, can anybody guide me in this regard. Can we convert .gtm files using CFX4toFOAM command ? or is there any way to convert .cgns files into OpenFOAM format. Please help me I am stuck. Any kind of help is appreciated. Thanks in Advance |

Hello,
In my personal experience, there are some cases you could to that trick FluentToFoam etc. However, openFoam excepts files that are extruded by a factor of one, which I don't know in your case you have that or not. Since you will be using OpenFoam, I would suggest to use one of those open-source mesh tools. I personally have a year experience with gmsh and feel that you can switch your mesh into it easily. I can help you with that if you want. Cheers,, |
