Hey All,

I am trying to perform different simulations (3D, axisymmetric, and symmetry) in simpleFoam to see how the computational time would differ for each simulation. Therefore, I have created a 2D axisymmetric grid of the flow over a c-d nozzle and then measured the pressure and velocity distributions across the center line. Furthermore, using the same grid, I have created the 3d grid and did the same measurements like that for the axisymmetic. However, I noticed that the measurements of pressure and velocity distributions at the centerline of the 3D grid have changed i.e. I am not getting the same results. When the measurements were taken above the centerline, the results were in a good agreement. Could this be from boundary conditions or grid problem? Any idea?

Best,
