Mesh Smoothing

Hi Foamers
I am new to OpenFOAM, and so my question may appear silly. But I have a simple doubt, I have a stl geometry meshed with snappyHexMesh inside a cylindrical base mesh. The stl geometry, its meshed form and corresponding snappyHexMeshDict files are attached for your reference. Please let me know that what settings do I need to change to get a smooth (smooth surface as it is there in geometry) surface. |

Sorry got the answer for my own silly question.
It was the issue with blockMeshDict not snappyHexMeshDict. Needed to refine the base mesh. Thats all. New mesh is shown as attached. blockMesh refinement are as follows: blocks ( hex (0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7) (90 200 90) simpleGrading (1.0 1.0 1.0) hex (1 0 3 2 9 8 11 10) (90 200 30) simpleGrading (1.0 1.0 1.0) hex (5 1 2 6 13 9 10 14) (90 200 30) simpleGrading (1.0 1.0 1.0) hex (4 5 6 7 12 13 14 15) (90 200 30) simpleGrading (1.0 1.0 1.0) hex (0 4 7 3 8 12 15 11) (90 200 30) simpleGrading (1.0 1.0 1.0) ); |
