Dear Foamers,

I would like to know what is the wrong with my SHM's settings. I am doing a wind loading simulation (16 M Cells) and my prism layers are really bad at corner edges. You can see this on the picture attached to my message.

The prism generation crash at corner edges even if I have (I guess) a correct setting on SHM :

// When not to extrude surface. 0 is flat surface, 90 is when two faces
// are perpendicular
featureAngle 180;

// At non-patched sides allow mesh to slip if extrusion direction makes
// angle larger than slipFeatureAngle.
slipFeatureAngle 75;

Generally "an optimum value of 180 or higher is recommended to grow layers at corner edges" according to https://www.simscale.com/docs/conten...dSettings.html

Could you help me ? What did I do wrong ?

It seems that featureAngle 180 is not the best setting to grow layers at corner edges. featureAngle 60 could be better...

Your edges are very jagged. Did you use surfaceFeatureExtract?
