When using snappyHexMesh to mesh domains with sharp corners, the mesh does not resolve the edges: the mesh goes out of the domain. The direction in which it goes is not controllable, i.e. sometimes it messes up sides on which I want to apply e.g. a wedge BC, which needs a planar mesh.
An example result is in the attachment, along with a screenshot of the feature edges. At one point I've read: "If you have a problem with the bad cells you can change the snappyHexMesh settings to improve them at the expense of poorer surface and edge conformance." [http://bugs.openfoam.org/view.php?id=2099] but I don't know why.. I've tried OFv3+ for this feature:
Any ideas how to fix this? |
