Dear Foamers
I am a confused about a very basic question, which you can give me some suggestion from your experience. I am using blockMesh and if I want to have a symmetric kind of graded mesh, like finer at the entry and exit of the block (can be symmetric) and coarser in the middle, how can I do this with a single block without defining multiple blocks? I hope I could explain my question correctly to you. It might be very easy, but not clicking me right now. PLEASE help me if anyone did this before. |

Does the blockMeshDoubleGrading utility serve this purpose and is it compatible with OF version 2.3.1?? It can just double the mesh size in the middle, cant make 3 times or 4 times, right?
Also can anyone tell me the steps to add this in openFOAM? |

Hi Sahmed,
I'm facing similar case these days. Have you checked this?: http://cfd.direct/openfoam/user-guide/blockmesh/ Chapter 5.3.1.4 Multi-grading of a block. I think you can save lots of time with it. Regards |
