[snappyHexMesh] Tutorial crashes: snappyHexMesh floating point exception.

Question Tutorial crashes: snappyHexMesh floating point exception.

I have been trying to run some tutorials with snappyHexMesh but they all crash when snappyHexMesh gets executed.

For example in rotorDisk running ./Allrun i get

I get the same error with every other tutorial with snappyHexMesh I tried.

This error is in the main FAQ. I ran
Code:
export WM_COMPILE_OPTION=Debug
as described there but the error output doesn't changes.

What should I do to get snappyHexMesh to work?

Quick questions:
  1. Are you referring to the specific "rotorDisk" tutorial case "incompressible/simpleFoam/rotorDisk" that is present in OpenFOAM 3.0.1?
  2. Which Intel compiler version was used for compiling OpenFOAM? I ask this one because recently the following was reported about ICC 16: http://www.openfoam.org/mantisbt/view.php?id=2067

  1. Yes $FOAM_TUTORIALS/incompressible/simpleFoam/rotorDisk.
    But it's only an example: i have the same problem with simpleFoam/windAroundBuildings, pimpleDyMFoam/propeller,...
  2. icc 16.0.2
    I haven't compiled it myself but that's the output when running icc -v in the cluster.

I have the same problem when I run snappyHexMesh for any case, I'm using OF 3.01
did you get to any solution to this problem so far?

Not really, but I expect it to be a compiler error. On my debian with gcc 4.9, openmpi and default compilation settings it works well. In the wiki you can find a compatibility matrix.
