Hi all,

Can anyone give me guidelines on how to create such a domain using blockmesh? (Please see attached picture) I am able to create the wedge domain, however I am unable to add the stenosis (reduction of cross section area).

Really appreciated for any help!

Bentley.

I'd suggest you create three blocks:
1. upstream of the stenosis
2. stenosis
3. downstream

this way you can introduce the stenosis part with its block vertices and then under 'edges' define two arcs for the curved part (see arc in user guide).

shouldn't be too difficult. Don't forget the definition of the cyclic wall patches in case you haven't already done it.

Cheers

Alex, Thank you! I will have a try on this and post my mesh if I can make it!

Done! Thanks. However, I am using "polyLine" to put a cosine curve there

I'm glad you got it to work! Depending on your number of coordinate points for the curve, "spline" may give you a little softer surface.

Cheers
