Hi,
With the help of gmsh I can calculate and visualize the dual mesh thanks to Mesh.Dual option (barycentric algorithm). I need to know if it is possible to export the dual mesh from GMSH in .mesh file format ? Dimitri |

Hi,
I'm interested as well since it looks like the dual mesh can sometimes be a good polyhedral mesh. Unfortunately it looks like the dual mesh often has a few concave cells, which would be problematic for CFD. So maybe exporting a tet mesh first, then recombining in OpenFOAM to a polyhedral mesh would be the best option here, using polyDualMesh. I imagine this tool would not merge cells which are due to become concave. |
