Dear Foamers,
I have a little problem in understanding the multi region meshing with snappy.
I need to mesh a pipe with a porous media in the middle. The final aim is to simulate the air through a car air filter, so the final duct would be very complex.

At present, i have 3 stl file, one for the inlet duct one for the filter and one for the outlet duct. The duct are very simple, justa a box (in attachment the .stl)

I follow the tutorial snappyMultiregionHeater, and other tutorial find online. But i can't obtain the mesh. After i run Snappy i only obtain the original block mesh.

I need to simulate the wall of the duct and add layer to it.

Update:
i check better the resulting mesh and in the domain, there is the stl refined region.. In other word.

At the end of snappy, the external domain in the one generated with BlockMesh, but inside the BlockMesh domain i can see the refined region generated with Snappy..

But i need to obtain only the stl region with wall (my domain is the sum of the 3 stl file, not all the blockmesh)

Hey Zephiro88,

I have the same problem now. Have you meanwhile managed to solve that problem?

Best regards,

Dear all, it is just a metter of deleting the polymesh and domain0 related data.
Refer to this for details:

All the best,
