Dear Foamers,
I am having trouble defining the mesh for the following case: I have a large box 38x34x32 cm which represents furnace (air) and inside starting at 17.8x14.5x10 cm there is a small box 2.4x5.0x0.4 cm that represents a solid inside the furnace. I have tried to mesh with the new multi-grading tool for OF 2.4 and it works, but I have the problem that in the air region there are very little cells so my Courant number is too high to increase time step (the simulation has to run for 1000s and now this would take up to 40h). I am looking for some way to have a refined mesh only in the solid inside the furnace and that all the air left in the big box has larger cells. Has anybody any idea on how to implement it? Thank you! |

You can use refineMesh with topoSet to refine a box in your domain
