ideasUnvtoFoam problem

Hi,
I am quite new to openfoam so patience please... I have created my geometry using salome and I export my mesh in .unv format. Then I run the ideasUnvtoFoam <myfile>.unv from the case directory. So far so good! This process creates the files: /constant/polyMesh/boundary /constant/polyMesh/faces /constant/polyMesh/neighbour /constant/polyMesh/owner /constant/polyMesh/points but it doesn't create the blockMeshDict file. after running the ideasUnvtoFoam <myfile>.unv it keeps the old blockMeshDict and when running paraFoam to see the mesh it shows the mesh that is described in blockMeshDict. What should I do to get the blockMeshDict? and what if I want to change mesh fineness? |

blockMeshDict file is only used by the blockMesh utility to generate the mesh, it doesn't have any relevance for the mesh itself.
You can delete all contents of the polyMesh directory prior to converting your unv file to remove any leftovers. Maybe there is an error in the conversion or the path is wrong. |
