We are considering purchasing Pointwise for creating meshes for OpenFOAM--turbomachinery, airfoils, etc. I am about to start evaluating for a month, but would also like to hear Pointwise users' opinions on the value of the product.

I asked because I am also exploring opensource codes for hexahedral meshes. I have also tried hand on SALOME few times and it looked ok to me. I am not using it much because we have several Ansys licenses.
