Hello,
Regarding multiphase flow, I have 5 stl files, and one stl is a big geometry and other 4stl are very small. I am using snappyHexMeshmand i need a total mesh size of 50,000 cells. but i can't able to reduce less than 100,000 cells.. please suggest me the ways to reduce the overall cell size.. |

dear vishnu,
what does "big" and "small" compared to the whole solution domain mean? Possible ways: - Reduce base blockMesh fineness (e.g. by using higher grading) - Reduce domain size - Reduce snappy max. fineness level Keep in mind, less cells can lead to poorer accuracy. Best regards Julian

thankyou for your reply,,
for eg: I have a big tank coneected with small pipes in a domain.. If i try to reduce the blockMesh fineness or using snappy i am not getting the complete mesh with all pipes and tank.. I mean the pipes are not getting meshed completely..my mesh is getting incomplete... i have to get complete mesh but with minimum cells, now i dont want quality of mesh.. is there any idea |
