HI, im meshing a body with SHM, and though the stl file is pretty fine, i cant get a good mesh, is seems always to be a little coarse, although n of cells is high.
would you know where my problem is Thanks in advance /*--------------------------------*- C++ -*----------------------------------*\ | ========= | | | \\ / F ield | OpenFOAM: The Open Source CFD Toolbox | | \\ / O peration | Version: 2.1.1 | | \\ / A nd | Web: www.OpenFOAM.org | | \\/ M anipulation | | \*---------------------------------------------------------------------------*/ FoamFile { version 2.0; format ascii; class dictionary; object autoHexMeshDict; } // * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * // // ************************************************** *********************** // // Which of the steps to run castellatedMesh true; snap true; addLayers true; mergeTolerance 1e-06; refinamientogeneral 9; geometry { bwb.stl { type triSurfaceMesh; name bwb; } estela.stl { type triSurfaceMesh; name est; } /* refinementBox1 { type searchableBox; min (0 0 -1); max (1.3 4.1 1); } */ }; // Settings for the castellatedMesh generation. castellatedMeshControls { // Refinement parameters // ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ // If local number of cells is >= maxLocalCells on any processor // switches from from refinement followed by balancing // (current method) to (weighted) balancing before refinement. maxLocalCells 100000000; // Overall cell limit (approximately). Hello,
I'm not an expert in sHM... My first idea is, that you have to refine your underlying blockMesh, because your refinement levels are quite high. Those refinement levels base on your base mesh, generated with blockMesh. |
